As an integral part of the User Experience team, the Product Definition Engineer works alongside designers, developers, and the other customer-facing teams to solve users\u2019 problems and suggest solutions to overcome design challenges both internally and externally.\n\nPreferred Skills \n\n * Develop a deep knowledge of Onshape\u2019s capabilities and stay up to date with constantly expanding feature-set.\n * Provide technical assistance and expertise to users and report insights back to departments within Onshape.\n * Provide high velocity email-based transactional support directly to Onshape commercial users.\n * Treat support as a feedback mechanism to product development for how users use Onshape.\n * Answer questions and provide appropriate resources to self-learning and educational content.\n * Triage requests for new functionality and write specifications for new features.\n * Reproduce and document software bugs and report them to development.\n * Be an ambassador to the Onshape community on the Forum.\n\n\n\nMust Have Requirements\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering\n * 2+ Years of CAD experience\n * 4+ Years of Mechanical engineering / Design experience\n * Must be in Pacific or Mountain time zones\n\n\n\n \n\n\nPTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $87,000 - 115,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate\u0027s skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
