Job Description - Senior Product Manager


Location: This position is a hybrid role based out of our HQ Bowie, MD office. The current expectation is that we are in office two days each week (Tuesday-Wed), with extra additional days as required during the month.

Overview: Senior Product Manager is responsible for managing advanced analytics within the business unit product portfolio. This role is responsible for managing inputs from external and internal stakeholders, product planning, managing platform dependencies, leading cross functional teams for release and go-to-market plans and activities, enhancing and differentiating product within our core markets to best position the products within our markets and the competitive landscape. Interfaces with engineering, operations and sales to develop new products and enhance existing products. This role embraces both the strategic side of product management with executing on commercialization and growth of the solution, and also the tactical execution side of product ownership with partnering closely with development engineers to facilitate agile ceremonies and manage artifacts such as Epics, Features, and Product Backlog Items (user stories) to ensure successful sprint delivery.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Be the trusted thought leader for your product area; being the ‘voice of the market/customer’ within Provider and externally with customer interactions and events.

  • Build and maintain roadmap for products and work with cross-functional teams to deliver a unified product plan to the market.

  • Develop and implement a company-wide commercialization and launch plan for the products within the product line, working with all departments and the Product PMO to execute.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Implementation, Customer Success, Support, Legal, Finance, and other go-to-market teams to evangelize the product vision, maintain a unified roadmap, and define strategies for positioning, pricing, and successful market launches.

  • Develop, drive and coordinate complex product priorities in a fast-paced environment with intra-team and inter-team dependencies, prioritizing against such as strategic initiatives, enhancement requests, cross-functional requests, and engineering efforts.

  • Translate product strategy into requirements and prototypes, and then work with architects, developers and customers to implement these features by writing clear and detailed Epics and Features.

  • Perform and/or coordinate validation and user acceptance testing, collaborating closely with engineering and QA to ensure accuracy from feature deliverables.

  • Partner with development and lead appropriate Agile ceremonies to ensure successful sprint delivery and execution.

  • Make and disseminate any necessary updates to user guides or release notes to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders on key issues to the product.

  • Analyze and manage to product metrics/KPI’s that inform the success of your products in the market.

  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement.

  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;

  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.

Job Requirements:



  • Minimum of 8 years of Software Product Management experience managing platform or integration products.

  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare information technology experience with a focus on partner integration products.

  • Experience with Pragmatic Marketing or Certified in Pragmatic Marketing.

  • Proven to perform strategically and execute operationally.

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams from product concept to reference customers.

  • Proven track record of creating and launching new products.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Agile development methodologies.

  • SaaS or cloud software experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with close attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.


Education:



  • BA/BS Degree.
