Job Description - Senior Product Manager - Technical

Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior product manager (Tech) to develop inventory management strategies and build products that realize those strategies. Our team owns developing large-scale systems that drive inventory management by leveraging robust planning tools, anomaly detection, and automated insight generation and course correction strategies. As a PM in this team you will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for the products we own and realizing that vision by working closely with software development leaders, research scientists and partner teams in retail and operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills coupled with business judgement and customer obsession. She/he will communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key. The ideal candidate will be self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team. She/he will also be responsible for establishing creative strategies to track and identify impact of our initiatives. This is a high visibility role that requires partnering with worldwide Retail, operations, finance and other teams across Amazon.

Key Responsibilities

Build product roadmap(s) to manage inventory at scale for WW

Partner with retail/business teams to ensure adoption of our products and measure the effectiveness of our systems

Create and analyze performance metrics to inform decision making and new feature additions

Foster strong relationships with cross-functional peers, creating a collaborative culture

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience managing technical products or online services
Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
