Senior Product Quality Engineer

• Work Model: Onsite; 5 Days a Week - 10% Travel

Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to join their team! In this role, you will act as the primary interface between automotive customers and internal teams on product quality matters. You'll lead root cause investigations, support PPAP documentation, and collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement in product development and performance.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with automotive customer quality engineers to resolve product quality concerns
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams on product development quality topics
• Lead 8D investigations to identify root causes and deploy systemic corrective actions
• Create detailed, customer-facing 8D reports
• Support the Sales team on quality-related customer matters
• Assist with customer PPAP submissions and related documentation requests

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in an engineering role supporting or developing automotive products or processes
• Direct experience managing 8D investigations and creating 8D reports
• Familiarity with AEC-Q100 product qualification standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional teams

Education/Certification Requirements

• A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required

Preferred Requirements

• Experience working in a Failure Analysis lab
• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans
• IATF or VDA auditor certification or experience
• Project management experience
• Direct experience supporting or communicating with customers
