About the Opportunity:

GSG is seeking an experienced individual to join our team in support of our key client based in San Francisco. In this role, you will closely collaborate with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to serve as a strategic partner. Your primary objective will be to offer additional support, allowing the CIO to spend more time with peers at a strategic level. This position requires seamless integration into the CIO's workflow, providing critical administrative support across various operational and strategic aspects while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of projects within the technology organization, ensuring smooth functioning of initiatives delegated by the CIO.

Establish and maintain of an effective IT program structure emphasizing coordination and prioritization of resources across projects.

Supervise the management of essential project deliverables, while also overseeing the overall costs and risks associated with the IT program.

Oversee administrative tasks associated with vendor relationships, such as proposal review, serving as the principal liaison on behalf of the CIO.

Exhibit proficiency in executive communication, including drafting communications for the CIO directed to the firm, the board, and other executives.

Prepare polished presentations for board meetings, firm-wide gatherings, and business case presentations for funding requests.

Serve as a trusted advisor and confidant to the CIO, ensuring the protection of their interests and adeptly managing sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

Provide daily advisory support to the CIO, understanding their operational preferences and style and serving as an extension in various capacities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, management, or a related field; preference for candidates with an MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

Experience leading complex, technology program efforts, comprising multiple projects to meet business and technology objectives within set timelines.

Proven experience in project management, including managing key deliverables,budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, risks etc.

Demonstrated proficiency in efficiently organizing and managing a wide array of administrative tasks with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience in financial services, ideally within asset management, wealth management, or investment management.

Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to cultivate relationships across all organizational levels.

Outgoing personality conducive to effective relationship-building.

Adept at crafting executive communications and delivering compelling presentations.

Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a proven record of effectively managing relationships with both business and technology partners.

Thrives in complex, dynamic environments, adept at managing multiple priorities with a high degree of autonomy and discretion.
