Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer / Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company  is a professional geotechnical and environmental sciences consulting firm providing services in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, soil and materials testing, special inspection, soil and groundwater contamination assessment, site remediation, hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety.

SOCOTEC has an opening for a Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah.

• Assist with marketing and business development
• Prepare geotechnical proposals, including scopes of services and proposed fees
• Respond to technical questions for project solicitations
• Manage geotechnical projects
• Evaluate geologic and seismic hazards
• Prepare geotechnical evaluation reports
• Maintain client relationships
• Work directly with clients to assure successful project completion
• Provide direction and review engineering work products prepared by others
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior staff

Education

• B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
• M.S. in related field preferred

Required Skills & Experience

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the geotechnical industry performing the duties described above
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering
• Geophysical and environmental experience is an additional asset
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, team player
• Ability to work and meet deadlines under time pressure
