About the opportunity:

Jacobs has secured multiple multi-year Frameworks and Projects with leading Clients in the UK, Ireland and across the Globe. Water is looking for skilled and highly motivated people that are looking to grow their careers in exciting new ways to deliver on these fantastic opportunities in the Water Industry and beyond.

Successful candidates will join our team of nearly 600 water professionals, who work on a range of high-profile projects. They will become part of a World Leading Company with excellent career prospects. You could be delivering project tasks, designs and in a multi-disciplinary, multi-company environment on water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities at various stages in the project life cycle, working within our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budget.

We are looking for experienced Senior Project Managers across various grades to join our offices all across the UK (Birmingham, Edinburgh Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Peterborough, Warrington and Winnersh) to reinforce our existing team and further support our frameworks with UK Water Companies.to reinforce our existing team and further support our frameworks with UK Water Companies.

As a Project Manager, you will: -

Provide a safe working culture within your project teams and promote safety across all aspects of work

Take a pivotal role in delivering our client’s requirements.

deliver complex projects successfully within budget and on schedule.

agree and control budgets, escalation points, key milestones and targets.

show experience in leadership, delivery performance, communication and be an excellent team player.

foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

be committed to supporting your team to ensure a high-quality service in delivery.

drive your team of diverse individuals to actively engage with new ways of thinking to provide an agile delivery environment.

understand your clients’ requirements and the impact of your projects success factors, then developing a schedule and delivery plan to ensure success.

Provide a proactive risk identification and mitigation environment that allows for innovation and creative agile delivery.

Here's What You'll Need:

Successful candidates will have:

A masters degree or similar relevant to the environment, water, or construction sectors

A good understanding of current health, safety and welfare legislation

A proactive attitude and be keen to take ownership of client relationships and contribute to the growth of our business

Proven working experience with a range of contract forms, in particular NEC 3/4

An understanding of technical work in the environmental/water sector

The ability to operate autonomously with authority and be skilled in developing relationships

Undertaken earned value analysis on projects

Authored project quality and delivery plans

Enthusiasm to line manage
