Senior Project Scheduler

A nationally recognized commercial general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to lead scheduling efforts on some of the industry's most complex and high-profile construction projects. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for large-scale commercial projects exceeding $100 million in value.

The ideal candidate is a true scheduling expert—someone who has spent years building, managing, and analyzing complex CPM schedules on major commercial construction projects. This is not a logistics-focused scheduling role; the emphasis is on advanced project scheduling strategy, schedule analysis, forecasting, and executive-level project support.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive CPM schedules for large-scale commercial construction projects valued at $100M+.


• Lead project teams through schedule development, planning sessions, and ongoing schedule updates from preconstruction through project completion.


• Perform detailed schedule analysis, identify critical path impacts, and recommend recovery strategies to maintain project milestones.


• Prepare and perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA) to evaluate schedule changes and delays.


• Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules to support project planning and forecasting.


• Create and maintain Basis of Schedule documentation.


• Support pull planning sessions and collaborative scheduling efforts with project teams.


• Produce earned value reporting and schedule performance metrics for executive leadership and clients.


• Present schedule updates, risk assessments, and recovery plans to owners, project executives, and leadership teams.


• Mentor and develop junior schedulers while promoting scheduling best practices across multiple projects.


• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Owners, Architects, and Engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• 15+ years of commercial construction scheduling experience.


• Senior-level Project Scheduler with a proven track record of leading scheduling efforts on large commercial construction projects.


• Deep scheduling experience on complex commercial projects valued at $100 million or greater.


• Expert-level Primavera P6 experience with advanced knowledge of CPM scheduling methodologies.


• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining master schedules throughout the entire project lifecycle.


• Extensive experience performing Time Impact Analyses (TIA), schedule recovery planning, and critical path analysis.


• Experience developing Basis of Schedule documentation, resource-loaded schedules, and cost-loaded schedules.


• Strong understanding of earned value management and schedule performance reporting.


• Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership, owners, project teams, and field operations.


• Experience mentoring schedulers and leading scheduling best practices across multiple projects.
