Summary


The Senior Project Specialist is responsible for managing complex logistics and transportation projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services to customers. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The Senior Project Specialist will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are completed within budget and timelines.


 


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Plan and execute complex logistics and transportation projects from start to finish

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets

  • Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues

  • Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures

  • Develop and maintain project documentation


 


Educational background / Work experience



  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management

  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams


 


Skills & Competencies



  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Knowledge of logistics and transportation operations

  • Familiarity with project management software and tools

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)



  • May provide guidance to junior staff members


 


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2)


 


Language skills



  • Fluent in English (oral and written)


 


Computer Literacy



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana)

DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees. This means that an employee may be terminated for any reason, or no reason at all, at any time, provided the discharge does not violate any law*. For this position, the expected base pay is: $66,000 - $82,000 / Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
