POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for reporting financial status of the assigned Real Estate entities given from
Accounting Manager.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for assigned real estate entities.
- Balance and reconcile bank accounts within these student housing entities.
- Complete all necessary monthly general ledger journal entries.
- Maintain all recurring payables for assigned real estate entities.
- Process daily accounting, cash, credit card transactions, perform account reconciliations as necessary and meet required deadlines for timely financial reporting
- Distribute financial reporting packages for investors and lending partners
- Assist with Property Management with budgeting
- Identify and resolve accounting, reporting and tax issues.
- Assist with Federal, State and Local tax return process with third party tax preparer
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system in online storage system

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Undergraduate degree required in accounting
- Experience in Accounts Payable, GL reconciliation
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated desire to get the job done

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with both internal and external customers.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Excellent quantitative analysis and financial model skills (using Excel) is required
- Working knowledge of email and MS Office software programs necessary
- Ability and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology tools
- Previous knowledge in real estate accounting software (Yardi or other) would be helpful
