Role description:

Arcadis has an opening for a Senior Pursuit Specialist to join the North America E&C (Engineering & Consulting) Places Commercial Enablement Team to craft high-quality compelling proposals and presentations. As a Senior Pursuit Specialist, you will leverage your expertise and knowledge of the full pursuit process, from positioning and capture planning through post-proposal submittal debriefing on various pursuit types including complex cross business and/or multi-country efforts. Your primary focus is the planning, scheduling, development, and finalization of responses to client requests for qualification, proposals, bids, and presentations. 

We are looking for an energetic, motivated candidate with strong people, communication, and organization skills. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of A/E/C industry experience and be responsible for producing high-quality proposal materials under strict deadlines. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with limited supervision is required. Writing, editing, and expert computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Create Cloud) is a must; InDesign skills are mandatory. To thrive in this role, you must be versatile – able to work independently and with teams, communicate well, keen eye for design, be very organized, and able to operate under pressure to meet deadlines.

Role accountabilities:

This is a dynamic position that requires ability to lead or assist with medium to large proposal efforts, lead multiple smaller proposal efforts, collaborate with teammates, and produce high quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Pursuit Specialist must be able to take initiative and work independently or with a team.

• Lead proposal development by creating branded or customized proposals, statements of qualification, case studies, interviews, and presentations


• Lead or participate on teams to execute proposal planning and development activities such as pre-RFP planning/preparation


• Provide high-impact, compelling writing on sections of the proposal and customize projects, resumes, and other text to be tailored to the client/pursuit objectives


• Lead the development and application of proposal/presentation themes through storyboarding and strategy meetings


• Design graphics and document layout when necessary


• Assist in preparing interview/presentation materials, including PowerPoint slides and multimedia productions


• Collaborate with project pursuit team to gather information and tailor content to individual RFP requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related major. 


• 10+ years experience in marketing and/or proposal development in the A/E/C industry.


• Comprehensive understanding of the pursuit lifecycle with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.


• Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook, as well as Adobe InDesign, and Acrobat.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
