Senior Quality Technician

Role Overview:

The Senior Quality Technician's function is to perform various inspection duties, create and collect inspection data, work closely with Engineering and suppliers to resolve issues, and maintain document control in accordance with AS9100 and ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities:

·Perform visual and mechanical inspections using measurement and test equipment that includes, but is not limited to: pin gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gage, profilometer, optical comparator, CMM, and GOM scanner.

·Measure components and compare results to Engineering drawings that contain GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and industry standard specification controls.

·Create, develop, and implement inspection processes based on customer specifications.

·Create and run part measurement programs using PC DMIS and Calypso software.

·Collaborate with Quality & Manufacturing Engineering to resolve any issues found during product realization.

·Assist with creating and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) such as calibration records, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, and document control.

·Create inspection documentation and collect and verify all data for customer data packet or CoC packet.

·Identify and record non-conformances using various software.

·Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

·Using CAD models for programming inspection

Requirements:

·Minimum of 6 years’ experience working in a quality position.

·Minimum of 1 year experience working in an AS9100 (or similar standard) manufacturing and inspection environment.

·Minimum of 1–2-year experience writing programs and running CMM.

·Minimum of 1–2-year experience in developing and implementing quality procedures and work instructions.

·Proficient with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) read, write and interpret.

·Drawing Interpretation 2-3 years experience.

·Experience working with various measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

·Formal written and verbal communication with internal and external parties (customers and suppliers) as well as performing inter-company and external presentations.

·Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications: (any skill that could be a plus)

·Experience working with PC DMIS and Calypso software

·Experience working in Additive Manufacturing

·Machine operations experience

·Keyence Machines

·Auditing

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $32.00-$37.00 per hourly salary.  Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
