Senior R & D Engineer

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years' experience with a BS degree, or minimum of 3 years' experience with an MS degree, primarily in the medical device or related field Demonstrated experience in developing and validating test methods for medical or mechanical systems Proficiency in SolidWorks Strong understanding of statistical analysis techniques and application to experimental design Proven mechanical engineering and analytical problem-solving skills Prior experience working in the medical device industry (any class) Ability to synthesize technical data from various sources and make informed recommendations Self-starter with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to engineering development Demonstrated ability to drive deliverables through creative problem solving and cross-functional collaboration Experience with the development of vascular access sheaths and delivery systems Proven ability to ideate, prototype, and implement innovative test method solutions Experience engaging directly with physicians and end users during product design and evaluation Familiarity with design controls, risk management processes, and DV/DVAL execution Experience supporting all stages of the product development process (PDP lifecycle) Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead within a matrixed environment Excellent organizational and collaboration skills in a dynamic team setting
