By collaborating closely with our global R\u0026D, equipment and materials suppliers, and manufacturing teams, we ensure the efficient development, transfer and implementation of new technology nodes, maintaining Micron\u0027s leadership in the industry.\n\nAs a Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) Technology Development Engineer in APTD, you will learn how to use pioneering defect detection equipment and processes to solve issues and drive improvement. The goal of this position is to accelerate cycles of learning and technology transfer in Technology Development (TD). We\u0027re seeking an engineer who is passionate about creative problem solving and finding innovative solutions.\n\nThis position will provide the opportunity for you to collaborate with engineers in process integration, process development, data science, and yield analysis within and outside of TD. Your ideas will impact the team globally! We need someone who will investigate process anomalies through root-cause analysis, data manipulation, and correlations. You will be expected to support experimentation, data analysis, baseline health metrics, and systematic and random defect improvement.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Review and analyze experimental process flows, looking for defect anomalies and quarantining process tools that are out of control. Use inline process signals to drive process improvements.\n\n * Work with new inspection tools and strategies to drive earlier detection of problems and identify the sources\n\n * Recognize, identify, and raise awareness of process anomalies with the approach of \"who needs to know this now?\"\n\n * Build and improve upon techniques and identify new ways to use existing tools in order to identify relevant process issues\n\n * Actively participate in technical meetings and then synthesize new opportunities or novel approaches\n\n * Collaborate with the global network to develop best-known methods and maintain alignment between sites\n\n\n\n\n## Minimum Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science \u0026 Engineering, or related field plus 2-4 years of semiconductor industry experience\n\n * At least 1 year of RDA experience identifying and resolving defect integration issues\n\n * Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication techniques\n\n * Basic data science/data manipulation skills (scripting, coding, programming)\n\n * Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and drive effective change in an energizing environment\n\n * Excellent technical, analytical, and verbal/written English communication skills\n\n * Strong understanding of physics, area chemistry, and semiconductor equipment concepts\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Master\u2019s Degree in EE, CE, MSE, or related field plus\n\n * Experience with metrology or inspection (SEM, X-ray, Laser or Optical Systems)\n\n * Proven technical writing and research experience to assess process adjustment requirements and guide recommendations for improvements and innovations\n\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSemiconductor Process Engineer 3\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
