Senior React Native Developer

FP Markets Group of Companies is a well-established globally regulated Australian broker offering traders access to CFDs across Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-Time Senior React Native Developer to join our distributed IT team - a certified Great Place to Work®.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior React Native Developer to help us build and scale high-performance mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to the full mobile development lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive mobile engineering excellence.

Reporting to: CTO

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain advanced mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend developers to define, design, and deliver new features
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Write well-structured, maintainable, and reusable code
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues and bugs
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and propose improvements to current development processes
• Mentor junior developers by providing guidance, best practices, and code reviews

Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of professional experience in mobile app development
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with React Native
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern ES6+ features
• Experience with state management tools (e.g., Redux, MobX)
• Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling async tasks
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English

Technical Stack Requirements:

• React Native CLI & Expo
• Native module integration (Android/iOS bridging)
• Firebase / AWS Amplify (backend services)
• SQLite / Realm (local data storage)
• Crash reporting and analytics tools (Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics)

Nice to have:

• Native iOS or Android experience (Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java)
• GraphQL and Apollo Client familiarity
• Performance optimization techniques
• Contributions to open-source or developer communities
