Job Description - Senior relations specialist

Vitalant is hiring a results-driven, customer-focused, and business-minded

Senior Employee Relations Specialist

to provide comprehensive employee relations support and consultation across the organization.

As a

Senior Employee Relations Specialist , your contribution plays a crucial role in advancing our mission. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders across the nation to skillfully manage investigations from initiation to resolution. You will offer guidance on disciplinary actions, terminations, background check adjudication, and contribute to policy development and interpretation. Your expertise will be pivotal in navigating unemployment matters and ensuring strict compliance with State and Federal regulatory statutes across our organization.

What to Expect

Schedule:

Hybrid schedule working from home 2 days per week.

As a Senior Employee Relations Specialist, you’ll get to:
Manage, consult, and investigate issues with organization-wide human resources representatives submitted through the employee hotline.
Assist with requests for mediation, investigations, and position statements for agency charges throughout the organization.
Analyze and prepare analysis of employee-related data as it relates to human resources policies, programs, and practices including but not limited to turnover, employee opinion surveys, and recruitment.
Provide consultation and guidance to field human resources, management, and staff regarding Human Resource Guidelines (HRG) and employee relations matters.
Maintain, develop, and communicate changes in employment compliance for State and Federal regulations regarding changes in law, Federal Agency requirements, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
5 years of human resources experience required.
5 years of dedicated employee relations experience preferred.
Experience working in a multi-state organization preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Knowledge of HR regulations, practices and techniques required.
