If you’re ready to make a huge impact and drive the future of autonomy, Plus is looking for talented individuals to join its fast-growing teams.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide hardware and software support on PlusAI’s full-stack, self-driving technology for large-scale, autonomous commercial fleets.
Perform research and contribute to how the PlusAI autonomous system achieves higher levels of autonomy through machine learning engineering.
Responsible for supporting the company in designing and building end-to-end systems, algorithms, and software for constructing autonomous vehicles.
Utilize knowledge of commonly used computer vision, machine learning, deep learning frameworks and libraries (Tensorflow, PyTorch), and software development tools to collaborate with teams of different functionalities and integrate various components (perception, planning, control etc.) into a running system.
Collaborate with research scientists in the research and design team to integrate new sensors, and implement, evaluate, debug, and deploy fine-tuned, vision-based perception algorithms to prototype vehicles.
Research and construct machine learning or deep learning-based models for enabling self-driving vehicles to perceive and understand the surrounding environment.
Review and analyze complex system requirements, and translate detailed designs into various computer programming languages, such as C++ and Python.
Utilize knowledge of CUDA programming to optimize algorithms and accelerate computations, ensuring real-time performance and efficiency in autonomous systems.
Implement model quantization techniques for faster model inference speeds in the production environment.
Research and implement state-of-the-art techniques for object-detection, lane-tracking, image segmentation, and other computer vision tasks to build fast, accurate, and reliable systems for enabling tracking and control in autonomous vehicles.
Apply statistical learning techniques (Gaussian processes and Bayesian parameter estimation) to refine and enhance algorithms, leveraging uncertainty estimation to ensure safer deployed models in the production systems.
Research and implement multi-task learning algorithms to deploy more compute-efficient deep learning models.
Research state-of-the-art techniques for model training and optimization, computer vision algorithm development, and writing object-oriented code in C/C++ and Python.
Work closely with other engineering teams to resolve a wide range of driving scenarios, including requirements across the stack to develop safe vehicle behavior in nominal and challenging scenarios.
Use good oral and written communication skills to collaborate and coordinate with other engineers and developers to review progress, and present reports to the head of engineering at major milestones.
