Senior Retail Account Manager

Mid Central Region

This position is open to any current Retail Account Manager within Benefit Cosmetics' US Wholesale Team, regardless of location.

The Senior Retail Account Manager (SRAM) is primarily responsible for all aspects of driving and achieving retail sales and service results and managing budgets in their assigned locations and accounts. The SRAM will build close relationships with key partners in their business and manage their assigned territories through team development, training, market knowledge, recruitment and development of selling, staff managing, and budgeting.

The SRAM will also utilize market knowledge in completing special projects to drive business on a Regional and/or National level. They will develop and lead their peers in achieving business goals.This position requires the customary and regular exercise of discretion and independent judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Customer Service-

Ensure that Benefit offers the highest possible level of customer service and promote a feel good/fun environment by coaching and developing the team to deliver outstanding customer service.Lead by example in providing excellent customer service to internal and external Benefit Customers.Monitor Yelp and Google ratings to ensure they average above a collective 4.0.-Drive Results-

Develop continuous strategies for retail sales growth, including effectively planning, creating, and executing in-store events, product launches, and corporate programs to drive retail sales and results.Identify Benefit rank and develop and adjust strategies to increase rank and trend above the retail store and NPD National Cosmetics trend. Must have a thorough and current understanding of competition’s structure and strategies in assigned accounts.Achieve Company initiatives (i.e. “A” Launches, Booster Strategy, etc.)Sephora:

Schedule and execute Sephora monthly training visits and utilize the Committed, Express Committed, or Blended training modules.Follow up with Sephora Store Operations to ensure gondola updates are completed within one week of the date driven by Benefit Global Merchandise Manager.Strategize with Store Directors for retail sales growth through conducting Brand Business Reviews.Department Stores:

Successfully identify, recruit, supervise, motivate, develop, and promote a team of store associates, aestheticians, makeup artists, and freelancers. Reduce turnover while increasing productivity per person through training and supervision.Directly supervise AE personnel where applicable.Ulta:

Build relationships with local Market Cosmotology Schools to provide Ulta with a fresh stream of new Arch Expert recruits. Build relationships with each the District Managers, Prestige Managers, General Managers and Salon Managers to engage them to drive Benefit Product and Service sales.-Management-

Maintain ongoing monitoring, coaching, training, and motivation of the Benefit, Sephora and Ulta personnel – reinforcement training in product lines, applications, selling technique, in store events and “Steps of the Service”.Ensure store and counter are properly merchandised for maximum visual exposure, focusing on permanent and promotional displays, towers, and end caps that are presentable, accessible, serviceable, and easily shoppable.Provide efficient feedback to appropriate Benefit personnel regarding the effectiveness of Benefit strategies, trainings, selling tools, and products.Identify areas of strength and weakness with both the business and people in each account. Formulate action plan to correct problems with specific goals and timetables.Oversee all budget and expenses related to the territory.Manage employee relations concerns such as worker’s compensation, leaves of absence, and performance by partnering with Human Resources, Field Director and Regional Sales Managers.Manage and audit timekeeping/payroll procedures according to payroll timelines.Analyze and communicate all stock concerns to appropriate Account personnel to ensure appropriate stock levels.Oversee all sanitation and hygiene standards according to State Board guidelines.Customize and execute Induction Plans for new RAMs with Field Director supervision, using the Benefit Induction Outline.-Leadership-

Teach, coach, motivate, and develop selling personnel through approachable, effective communication.Effectively lead the organization through change and growth.Lead the team and participate in projects that enhance the daily business practices of the entire field. Gather RAM feedback and ideas and present findings at Regional/ASC breakout meetings.Independently lead bi-weekly conference call with RAM team within region, and a monthly LSA call w/ all LSAs/RAMs within the region.Lead a portion of the RSM-led bi-weekly conference call as an elevated content expert, including reviewing wholesale and education newsletter, and other topics chosen by Field Director.Take on a leadership role during Education seminars and Retailer Round RobinAttend retailer programs and share information with team at Regional/ASC breakout meetings.Participate in training opportunities such asLVMH class enrollment, Education Department presentations, EllesVMH, and Sr RAM meetings, with a focus on management skills, creativity, innovation and negotiation.Participate in ongoing SRAM Skill Development Workshops. Topics may includemotivating internal/external partners, negotiation, presentation skills, time management, strategic thinking, hiring and developing talent, and brand DNA.All other duties as assigned.

Ability to relocate based on availability of open positions across the countryWork in a fragrance filled environmentEmployees have physical contact with clients/ customers.Valid driver’s license required.This position requires the final candidate to successfully pass an E-Verify check.Active state board license required-Qualifications-

Proven strong sales and service track record.5 - 10 years retail experience.Minimum 5 years of management experience is preferred.Strong attention to detail with continued focus on larger goals.Understanding of the specific nature of each retail channel and broad exposure to competitive landscape and market.Flexible and amenable to changes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Ability to multi-task and accommodate changing prioritiesStrong negotiation and presentation skills.Flexibility regarding work hours; ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; required to clearly communicate in a timely and consistent manner with Counter Managers, Sephora cast members, Ulta Arch Experts and all appropriate Benefit team members including Field Directors, Regionals, and SF Headquarters.Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.Proficient at analyzing numbers.

The target salary range for this position is $72,000 - $98,000. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position may be eligible for a sales incentive bonus and/or commission.
