Job Description - Senior Risk Mitigation Consultant - Nassau County

Bachelor's Degree in occupational safety and health or a related risk management field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required Typically 5+ years in workers compensation loss control or occupational safety and health consultation required Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Advanced proficiency) Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization (Intermediate proficiency) Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical documents. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities (Advanced proficiency) Daily local travel within the assigned territory is required. Up to 50% travel throughout the assigned service market with some overnight to provide Risk Mitigation services to remote clients and to conduct pre-contract assessments for prospective clients. Provide risk mitigation consultations to clients - This includes surveying client operations, reviewing administrative and engineering loss controls, identifying loss trends, providing safety training and risk mitigation recommendations as well as conducting meetings with client management to improve client workplace safety. Prepare technically detailed risk mitigation and auditing reports to internal stakeholders regarding client and prospect operations and exposures that include assessment of risk and mitigation recommendations per established procedures in a timely manner. Develop, communicate and implement risk mitigation action plans for high hazard and/or high frequency/severity clients. Performs other duties as assigned Work in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office or home setting.
