We are looking for an innovative, motivated, detailed oriented Sales Executive to join our team!

The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for new account sales and/or expanding existing accounts for a specified geographic area. Your job is to focus on our Payer service offerings. The Senior Sales Executive will develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue, close individual healthcare accounts involving multiple executive level stakeholders and manage a complex sales cycle including forecasting and sales activity. The Senior Sales Executive will present solutions using appropriate sales approaches and techniques, including team and/or consultative presentations/efforts. The Senior Sales Executive collaborates with senior management and corporate counsel to negotiate contracts and coordinates all follow-up to insure a delivered, signed contract. Travel will be required for this role. The Sales Executive will also be required to perform other duties, projects, or activities as specified by their management.

To be qualified for this position you:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
The successful candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years of health care industry solution sales experience.
Experience must include selling to large health plans and third-party administrators with a proven history of new account sales achievements.
Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiating win-win agreements based on value-based selling.
Experience selling healthcare technology and demonstrate an understanding of healthcare EDI transactions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
Possess prior experience preparing and delivering formal proposals/presentations and the ability to make decisions independently.
Ideally you would come from a company selling solutions into health plan market segment, including solutions for EDI, Provider Portal, Risk Adjustment, Case Management, HEDIS, population health, and financial payment platform.

You will be:

Developing and executing a strategic sales plan to target commercial health plans and secure contracts for Availity solutions.
Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with C-Level leadership and key decision makers and stakeholders within assigned health plans.
Staying informed about government regulations, policies, and initiatives related to healthcare and how these may affect the needs of commercial health plans
Monitoring and analyzing market and competitive trends within the health plan space to identify opportunities.
Anticipating market and competitive factors and be able to adjust sales strategies to favorably position Availity solutions.
Researching, prospecting, and calling qualified leads.
Collaborating closely with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, Finance and Legal, to tailor proposals and solutions to meet the specific needs and requirements of health plan clients.
Leading contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions
Growing and managing a pipeline of sales opportunities, using saleforce.com as a system of record.
Managing multiple, concurrent, complex sales cycle including forecasting and sales activity.
Working with Availity Marketing team and Business Development Representatives to define campaigns that will drive active leads.
Working with Availity Proposal team to respond to RFP, RFQ and RFI’s.
Utilizing your current network to open opportunities while building new business.
Transitioning new payers smoothly to implementation teams and continue with appropriate levels of relationship management.
Maintaining sales records and prepares sales reports as required.
