This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days in the office and two days work from home.

How you’ll contribute

The Senior Salesforce Platform Developer will lead and manage the development and integration of Salesforce platforms (CRM, Data Cloud/CDP, Marketing Cloud and Tableau), applying extensive knowledge and skills. This role will play an integral part in the implementation, maintenance, and support of Salesforce platforms within the organization as well as configuration, development and maintenance of salesforce applications, security, data, and overall processes. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and other cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions that support unique business needs.

Translate business requirements from technical and non-technical staff into software specifications and determine operational feasibility in order to design, develop and implement custom Salesforce solutions within Salesforce CRM, Data Cloud (CDP) and Marketing Cloud

Customize the Salesforce environment using Salesforce declarative tools and programming languages to tailor the platform to specific organizational needs

Lead integration efforts to connect Salesforce with other business systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools

Oversee the data ingestion, data transformation, and data cleansing processes to ensure high-quality data within Data Cloud (CDP)

Manage Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) connection with other Salesforce Cloud solutions (like Veeva, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud) and external systems to ensure seamless data flow and functionality

Develop unit tests and provide code coverage to accurately test business logic and functionality

Configure, manage, and optimize the use of the Marketing Cloud platform to meet business needs

Assist in the design and implementation of complex campaign workflows and journeys, including email marketing, social media campaigns, and other digital marketing efforts

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes for new features or functionalities throughout the lifecycle of development, implementation and maintenance

Provide Salesforce support to end-users and work independently to address, resolve, or recommend solutions for complex issues and problems

Work across functional teams to understand key principles of the organization and immersion into existing applications, data operations and workflow streams

Stay current in new IT technologies to maintain a high level of subject matter expertise. Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility and scalability.

For this role you will need

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field AND 5 years of relevant experience OR as Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field AND 3 years of relevant work experience.

Salesforce front-end experience with Lightning

Hands-on experience configuring as well as customizing Salesforce CRM, including flows, process builders, workflows, validation rules, Apex code, Triggers, SOQL and Lightning components using best practices

Hands-on experience with Data Cloud (CDP)

Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud

Ability to customize software specifications requested by the business who may not have technical speak.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience integrating Salesforce with 3rd party applications

Ability to multitask using effective time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

Veeva/Salesforce.com experience

Life Science experience highly preferred e applications/software experience

Significant experience in providing development delivery from inception to deployment
