has an opportunity for a

Senior Scientist Technical Support - Data Analytics.

The Senior Scientist will be part of our data analytics and business intelligence (BI)reporting team. They will develop reports and dashboards for assay performance monitoring and evaluation across immunoassay and clinical chemistry products to support technical teams with complaint investigations, CAPA and product/ process improvements. They will independently manage complex projects to collect user requirements and develop analytics reports to drive understanding of assay performance across the manufacturing and assay support network. They will collaborate across R&D, Quality, Regulatory and Technical functions to proactively identify opportunities to improve analytics capabilities and data access to help drive digital lean solutions. They will serve as an IT liaison ensuring business needs met as technology changes are implemented and mentor business users in use of data systems and technology tools to support technical troubleshooting and development or expansion of analytics capabilities.
What You’ll Work On
Apply knowledge of product performance data and data infrastructure to deliver reports, dashboards, and automation providing actionable insight to product support scientist.

Mentor others on use of technology tools including PowerBI, Cognos, SQL Tools to upskill technical support scientist in data analytics.

Recognizes opportunities, solicit user input, and proactively propose novel ideas for significant reporting and analytics solutions to drive process or product improvements.

Manage Power BI premium workspace to ensure adherence to development best practices, set schedules, oversee access and monitoring utilization to recommend enhancements.

Manage Cognos report workspace for product monitoring reports. Provide user guidance on access, mage report schedules, oversee automation delving reports to end user SharePoint sites.

Collaborate on cross functional teams to drive and deliver key business projects for digital lean and analytics. Develop strategies and drive implementation per timelines.

Liaison with IT Business Relationship Managers on technology advancement strategies to ensure they are aligned to business needs and perform user acceptance to test usability and prepare business users for transition.

Develop, deploy, verify, or validate Cognos, JMP or PowerBI analytics and reports.

Support complaint and internal investigations – Independently manages complex data requests to drive to root cause and resolution using appropriate data management tools.

Translates top-level goals to specific goals and aligns activities with respective strategic business priorities.

Minimum Qualifications
Higher Certificate, Ordinary or Honors Bachelor degree in scientific and technical field is desired or relevant combination of education and experience.

4 years’ related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
3+ years directly related work experience in data analytics and business intelligence reporting highly preferred.

Knowledge of database design, and architecture preferred including Oracle, Redshift, Databricks, and SQL server technologies and ability to liaison across business and IT subject matter experts highly preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency with SQL query language, Cognos and PowerBI Business Intelligence report authoring tools highly preferred.

Competency in data gathering, analysis, documentation and project management strongly preferred.

Experience with software lifecycle, non-product software validation processes preferred.

Experience with Microsoft 0365 tools including workflow automation, MS Teams, and SharePoint.

Experience with JMP and MS Excel data analytics.

Familiarity with Abbott data systems, data access and governance.

The base pay for this position is
$83,000.00 – $166,000.00
