As a Senior Security Engineer, you’ll be shaping how Bumble protects its hybrid environments - from corporate networks to production infrastructure. You’ll develop scalable, custom security tooling and collaborate across disciplines to ensure that security is embedded in everything we build.
What You'll Do
- Design and build custom security tooling to monitor, detect, and mitigate threats across the enterprise environment
- Lead security engineering projects spanning both on-prem and cloud systems
- Work directly in our global 24/7/365 Security Operations team, contributing to and supporting the on-call rotation
- Integrate with engineering and IT teams to strengthen system and network security controls
- Contribute to and extend our internal security automation platforms and pipelines
- Play a key role in major incident response and post-incident improvement
- Advocate for security-by-design and influence secure development practices across the organization
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of shared learning and continuous improvement
Must have:
- Deep understanding of host, network, and identity security in both Windows and Linux ecosystems
- Deep understanding of security hybrid architectures (i.e. on-premise and cloud platforms)
- Strong skills in scripting or software development (e.g., Python, Go, or similar)
- Experience responding to and leading technical aspects of security incidents
- Familiarity with detection engineering and modern security tooling (SIEM, EDR, SOAR)
Nice to have:
- Experience building or extending internal security tools
- Background in automation or infrastructure security
- Comfortable working in globally distributed teams and asynchronous environments
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation

$185,000 - $197,500 a year
For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. This position is also typically eligible to participate in our short- and long-term incentive programs. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Unlimited Paid Time Off Policy.
