Job Description - Senior Service Sales Engineer

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Senior Service Sales Engineer. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of our Baton Rouge, LA or Metairie, LA location to be considered for this position.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPosition Overview: \nThe primary function of the Senior Service Sales Engineer is to sell Eaton\u2019s electrical services offering to industrial, utility, commercial, data center and institutional customers in the targeted market area of Metairie, LA or Baton Rouge, LA. In doing so, the Lead Sales Engineer will manage the customer relationship, providing sales support and technical expertise to distributors, end users, contractors and specifiers. You will also build relationships with Eaton\u2019s internal operations and product lines to support customers and grow sales.\n\nMaking what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. It\u2019s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential\u2014and where you can help us reach ours.\n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Consult with customers in different market verticals and provide solutions to problems and pain points \n\u2022 Maintain regional responsibility for all services orders activity in Eaton\u2019s market segments \n\u2022 Train and empower channel partners and manufacturing agents to sell services to end customers and contractors \n\u2022 Be a subject matter expert on the services offering for the rest of Eaton\u2019s electrical sales organization to support and coach the organization in your region on selling services \n\u2022 Act as the voice of the customer to Eaton\u2019s services operations and marketing teams, ensuring high customer service and satisfaction \n\u2022 Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits \n\u2022 Prepare and present quotations to customers \n\u2022 Develop market-based growth strategies to ensure sustained success of Eaton\u2019s services product lines\n\nWhen we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we \u2014 as individuals and as a company \u2014 are stronger.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution \n\u2022 Minimum three (3) years of electrical sales, field service or electrical industry experience \n\u2022 Possess a valid driver\u2019s license \n\u2022 This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. government export regulations applicable to that information, an applicant must be a U.S. person defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering \n\u2022 Previous electrical (or relevant) sales experience \n\u2022 Previous services experience\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Possess excellent communication skills \n\u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future \n\u2022 Knowledge of key customers and ability to grow relationships at those customers in multiple levels of the organization \n\u2022 Ability to assess customer needs, provide clear, competitive quotations and overcome customer objections to win and grow the business \n\u2022 Demonstrates understanding of market trends, industry issues and knowledge of competitors \n\u2022 Ability to leverage support personnel to meet customer needs and work cross functionally in the organization to serve customers \n\u2022 Knowledge of Eaton electrical product and service capabilities and ability to solution sell to meet customer needs \n\u2022 Effective implementation of Eaton\u2019s internal sales process \n\u2022 Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills \n\u2022 Time management, presentation and planning skills \n\u2022 Ability to travel up to 25%\n\nThe compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $107,250 - $157,300.\n\nBase salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
