We\u2019re now hiring a Senior Simulation and Experiential Designer to help us take our leadership seminars to the next level.\n\nAs a Senior Simulation and Experiential Designer, you\u2019ll use strong instructional design and adult learning approaches to create rich, in\u2011the\u2011room experiences\u2014simulations, exploration, substantial group projects, and more\u2014that help Netflix leaders grow in ways that are deeply connected to the realities of their work. \n\n\nWe are building for the room, not the screen. This role focuses exclusively on live business simulations and experiential learning for executives. If your career has been primarily centered on building e-learning or digital content, this is likely not the right role for you.\n\n \nThis is a full\u2011time role based in Los Angeles, CA, as part of the Leadership Programs team.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Design learning that actually changes behavior \nCreate live learning experiences and assets for our leadership seminars\u2014think rich simulations, structured exploration, and substantial group projects. You\u2019ll apply strong instructional design and adult learning principles to build experiences that are learner\u2011centered, outcomes\u2011driven, and tightly connected to real business challenges (no digital courseware here).\n\n * Embrace creative chaos and collective genius \nLean into the messiness of creation. You\u2019ll help create the conditions for creative innovation and collective genius\u2014bringing in diverse voices, making space for sharp disagreement, and shaping that tension into clearer, stronger ideas and live learning experiences.\n\n * Work in an agile, iterative way \nUse agile learning design approaches\u2014rapid prototyping, experimentation, tight feedback loops, and collaboration\u2014to evolve ideas from rough sketch to launch, quickly and thoughtfully.\n\n * Own projects end-to-end \nIn close partnership with our content team, define and manage projects from initial scoping and requirements, through research and analysis, to final design and delivery.\n\n * Orchestrate the right talent for the job \nWhen we need specialized elements\u2014like video, animation, or advanced visual design to support the live experience\u2014you\u2019ll help identify, brief, and manage the right internal or external partners as part of the content team.\n\n * Relentlessly raise the quality bar \nContinually review and refine our learning experiences for relevance, effectiveness, impact, and scalability. Deeply experienced in creating business scenario simulations, exercises, and tools for executive learning. Experience using AI tools to support content development and execution. \n\n * Comfortable working with human\u2011centered design principles\u2014balancing:\n\n * Desirability: what learners actually need and care about\n\n * Viability: what moves the business forward\n\n * Feasibility: the formats and constraints we have to work within\n\n * Excellent influencing, presentation, and project management skills\u2014you can align stakeholders, tell a clear story, and move work from idea to launch.\n\n * Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills\u2014you\u2019re clear, concise, and adapt your style to different audiences and partners.\n\n * Experience partnering with business leaders and subject matter experts to co\u2011create innovative learning solutions, not just execute a pre\u2011set brief.\n\n * Comfortable working within agile and design thinking approaches\u2014iterating quickly, testing, learning, and refining as you go.\n\n * Skilled in leveraging AI tools to help research and build efficiencies in process. \n\n\n\n\nGenerally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $185,000.00 - $315,000.00.\n\nNetflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
