Job Description - Senior Site Coordinator

Join the Miami Children’s Museum as a Senior Site Coordinator and take the lead in creating engaging, educational afterschool experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and growth.

Miami Children’s Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution, which meets the needs of all children in our multicultural community. The Museum offers interactive exhibits, programs and learning materials related to arts, culture and our community. Miami Children’s Museum encourages visitors of all ages to play, learn, imagine and create together.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of an afterschool program site
  • Supervise and coach instructional staff to ensure program quality
  • Plan and lead educational and recreational activities
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and team members
  • Ensure curriculum is implemented consistently and effectively
  • Oversee student recruitment, enrollment, and retention
  • Coordinate family engagement events and program showcases
  • Maintain compliance with Miami Children’s Museum, The Children’s Trust, and DCF standards
  • Support staff recruitment and assist with onboarding and training
  • Collect and review student and program data to guide improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience developing educational activities.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years coordinating programs for children and/or youth.
  • Must have a valid Director’s Credential as required by the Department of Children and Families.
  • Sound verbal and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must pass a Level 2 background screening (fingerprints) and drug test.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED.
