About the Role

Develop, maintain, and enhance existing web applications using Java Server Pages (JSP) and Oracle Database, with a strong focus on PLSQL procedures and functions. Lead the transition to a new technology stack featuring React for the frontend, Java Spring for the backend. Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure web applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Participate in code reviews. Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.

Leverage AI technologies to:

• Design and integrate AI-powered product features such as natural language processing (chatbots, summarization, translation), predictive analytics, personalization engines, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation.
• Partner with product teams to identify customer-facing use cases where AI can drive measurable value and competitive advantage.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI) to boost engineering productivity and code quality.
• Explore ways AI can optimize developer workflows such as automated test generation, bug detection, CI/CD pipeline improvements, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI APIs and frameworks into applications and internal tooling.

• Experience in developing modern web applications using React (functional components, hooks, state management like Redux) or Angular
• Experience in Java Spring framework and Java Server Pages (JSP)
• Experience in integrating front-end applications with back-end services using REST APIs
• Experience in automated testing frameworks for React (Jest, React Testing Library) and mocking API responses in tests
• Understanding of modern JavaScript features (ES6+), asynchronous programming (promises, async/await), CSS preprocessors like SASS
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Familiarity with AWS
• Familiarity with tools like Webpack, Babel, ESLint, and package managers (npm, yarn)
• Familiarity modern UI frameworks like Material-UI, Tailwind
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, scikit-learn) or integrating third-party AI APIs (OpenAI, AWS AI/ML, Google Vertex AI).
• Experience designing and deploying AI-driven product features (e.g., chatbots, recommendation engines, predictive analytics, personalization).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, AI-powered testing/monitoring solutions).
• (Bonus) experience in migrating legacy systems to modern frontend web frameworks like React or Angular
• (Bonus) familiarity with UI/UX design
