Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

Technology stack & Development tools: Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring AI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, React, Node.js, Express.js​

• Design and drive test strategies that are embedded in the development workflow, catching defects early and protecting customers through shift-left quality practices
  
  


• Partner with engineers to verify that deliverables meet functional and technical specifications, contributing to code reviews and testability improvements along the way
  
  


• Develop and maintain QA processes appropriate to a fast-moving product engineering team operating on a Kanban model
  
  


• Serve as a player-coach to junior QA contractors — reviewing their work, providing guidance, and helping them grow
  
  


• Build and maintain test case libraries and test infrastructure—including frameworks, test data strategies, CI/CD pipeline integrations, and test reporting dashboards—to support

• Leverage AI tooling to assist with test case automation and to streamline the authorshipand management of test documentation
  
  


• Perform manual and automated testing on complex product functionality, including edgecases and related functional areas
  
  


• Write new automated tests for both simple and complex functionality
  
  


• Develop expert-level functional and architectural knowledge of all products
  
  


• Understand and operate within Сustomers’s software development lifecycle and squad-based operating model
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development in test
  
  


• Expert-level product knowledge — ability to demonstrate complex product functionality to other teams and organizations
  
  


• Eagerness to adopt AI-assisted QA tools and workflows
  
  


• Experience in QA engineering with a track record of delivering quality product
  
  


• Strong manual testing skills on complex product functionality, including edge cases andcross-functional areas
  
  


• Experience with automated testing frameworks and the ability to write new automated tests for complex functionality
  
  


• Ability to write and maintain comprehensive test cases for both basic and complex product functionality
  
  


• Strong communication skills — ability to bring value and insight to conversations and communicate overarching project status effectively to technical and non-technical people
  
  


• Player-coach mentality — experience mentoring and guiding junior QA team members
  
  


• Familiarity with Kanban-based development workflows and spec-driven development practices
