Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the development and implementation of feature-level enhancements to the CODIS classic baseline, supporting future major release versions. This role is distinct from positions focused on minor software updates. The engineer will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying robust, secure, and scalable solutions within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement major feature enhancements for CODIS software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases.
• Automate build, deployment, and testing processes.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and government regulations.

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
• Technical Skills:
• Object-oriented programming using Microsoft Visual Studio and the .Net Framework.
• Proficiency in C#, VB.Net, and C++.
• Experience with WCF, Entity Framework, XML XSD, and REST API.
• Familiarity with third-party components such as DevExpress and Northwoods GoDiagram.
• Experience with TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Artifactory, InstallShield, and PowerShell.
• Strong background in Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022.
• Experience with unit testing (NUnit), integration testing (SpecFlow or Reqnroll), and UI testing (SmartBear TestComplete).
• Experience managing user stories and system capabilities in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Secure communications using X509 certificates.
• Implementing STIGS and using security scanning tools (Fortify, AppDetective).
