You\u0027ll design, develop, and optimize core systems that power millions of transactions daily, directly impacting our customers\u0027 experiences and our company\u0027s success. \n\n\nYour day-to-day: \nAs a Software Engineer, Backend Java, you will architect and lead the development of complex backend systems, drive innovation, and mentor the team.\n\n * Architect and design large-scale backend systems.\n * Lead and mentor engineering teams.\n * Drive technical excellence and best practices\n * Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. \n\n\n\n\nWhat do you need to bring:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Science or related field.\n * 3+ years of backend development experience.\n * Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Python, Ruby on Rails)\n * Expertise in architecting and developing large-scale backend systems using Java EE with extensive experience in Spring MVC or Hibernate.\n * Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining complex RESTful APIs and microservices.\n * Leadership in guiding engineering teams through complex technical challenges and design decisions.\n * In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.\n * Experience with large-scale data processing, caching strategies, and performance optimization.\n * Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices.\n * Proven ability to lead and mentor teams. \n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with Agile methodology , large-scale, high-performance systems.\n * Knowledge of the payment processing industry and relevant regulations.\n * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).\n * Contributions to open-source projects \n\n\n\n\nThe base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring.
