Senior Software Engineer, API and Data Delivery

The Opportunity

This is a critical and exciting time at Enigma. We are hearing from repeated customers that our product is creating tremendous value for them and is aligned perfectly with their needs. This creates an urgent need to showcase the power of our small business data as we scale our sales and marketing initiatives.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our API and Data Delivery Team. You will play a central role in architecting, building and managing critical systems in distilling and delivering large data sets, working with teammates and clients to solve high-impact, real-world problems.

What You’ll Do

• Build scalable, highly-available, high-throughput, highly maintainable systems, deployed in cloud environments


• Solve problems with containers, cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code (we use Docker, AWS and Terraform)


• Have a “can-do” attitude and doesn’t flinch when faced with a challenge, no matter how large or small


• Pride themselves on writing highly readable, thoroughly tested code


• Get excited when working as part of a motivated, collaborative team


• Identify problems that others aren’t seeing and makes sure they get solved

• Effectively manage responsibilities for architecture and design decisions, hands-on implementation, team organization and technical mentorship

• 5+ years of software engineering experience 


• Enjoys collaborating with cross-functional partners (product managers, other engineers, our client stakeholders) to set clear expectations and solve common problems


• Is driven to work with customers to have an impact on the real world

• Have extensive experience engineering SaaS data products

Salary Range: $160,000-$210,000

A note on salary ranges: we pride ourselves on paying competitively for our size and industry. Salary is one piece of a total Enigma compensation package that includes additional benefits and opportunities. All of our compensation packages include equity because we believe 100% of Enigma employees should have the option to purchase ownership in the company and benefit from the value we’re creating together.
