Senior Software Engineer (FrontEnd)

What You Will Do:
Work alongside a team of engineers, providing technology mentorship to create products that will directly affect the mission of WebMD Ignite
Develop full stack features and build reusable code libraries for future use
Solve complex software development problems and have ownership over specific functionality within our suite of products
Removing roadblocks to development through teamwork, communication, and creative solution recommendations
Recommend and drive development best practices and continuous integration and delivery (CI-CD) as part of a progressive, agile organization
Commit code, perform code reviews, drive testing best practices, and assist with configuration and release management
Gather requirements through direct interaction with the business/product stakeholders
What You Will Bring:
5+ years of full stack web development experience
2+ years in AWS Cloud and related certification
Experience with Node.JS (preferred), Python, SQL or a programming language of choice
Proficiency with JavaScript, Angular, CSS3, Bootstrap, Responsive Layouts
Familiarity with Snowflake, Elasticsearch, and webpack
Strong Familiarity with cloud based services (AWS) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
Previous experience with micro services architecture and API gateways, NGINX is a plus
Knowledge (and experience) designing and building distributed systems for scalability and security
Experience authoring reference architectures and other engineering documentation
Experience implementing security standards
Knowledge of TDD, automated testing principles, and testing best practices
Ability to setup CI/CD and other process automation including a familiarity with Jenkins/Git
Being an advocate for what is best for WebMD Ignite and our customers - you state your opinions candidly and collaboratively
A drive towards self-learning of new technologies, techniques and methods
Test-and-learn mentality – you pivot quickly when an approach is not successful
Keen attention to detail, eye for design and understanding the value of collaboration with UX/creative and product teams
Familiarity with any marketing technologies such as Salesforce, Eloqua, Marketo
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, completion of a recognized programming bootcamp, and/or equivalent work experience
