Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to lead quality initiatives across complex product areas. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end quality strategy, leading cross-functional testing efforts, and ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-performing software releases with minimal oversight.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical testing expertise with strategic quality leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and a modern understanding of AI-assisted testing practices. This individual will influence engineering quality standards, improve preventative quality practices, and help shape scalable testing strategies across systems and teams.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership & Delivery
Own quality outcomes for a product area with moderate ambiguity and minimal oversight.
Lead cross-functional test planning, execution, and release validation activities.
Drive defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution efforts across engineering teams.
Establish measurable quality metrics and release readiness criteria.
Create scalable quality processes that improve release confidence, reliability, and customer experience.
Balance release velocity, product risk, and quality rigor through sound engineering judgment.
Technical Skills & Responsibilities
Lead quality strategy across API, functional, end-to-end, regression, and performance testing for complex systems and integrations.
Design scalable automation frameworks and CI/CD quality validation processes to improve release reliability and efficiency.
Drive AI-assisted and AI validation testing strategies focused on reliability, bias, drift, and risk mitigation.
Partner with engineering teams to integrate quality planning into system architecture and design decisions.
Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen preventative quality practices.
Utilize modern AI productivity and testing tools, including ChatGPT and Cursor, to improve test design, analysis, automation efficiency, and engineering collaboration.
Leverage automation and cloud-based testing platforms such as Cyara, AWS, and related technologies to support scalable quality engineering solutions.
Culture & Leadership Expectations
Communicate quality risks, testing strategy, and release readiness effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
Influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment on quality standards without direct authority.
Make sound prioritization decisions balancing quality, delivery speed, and business impact.
Lead effectively in ambiguous environments by creating structure, clarity, and scalable testing practices.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.
Exposure to cloud-native architectures and microservices ecosystems.
Experience with AI/ML-enabled products or AI validation frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead quality strategy across multiple teams or product domains.
Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI-assisted engineering platforms.
Experience with automation and testing platforms including Cyara, AWS, and related cloud technologies.
