Senior Solution Delivery Lead / Technology Project Manager

Location: Boston Seaport, MA

Rate: $100–$105 USD/Hour

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Solution Delivery Lead / Technology Project Manager to join us on a contract / contingent basis supporting our Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and Data Privacy technology portfolio.

This is a senior, hands-on technology delivery role. The ideal candidate has a strong background in IT project management, business systems analysis, and solution delivery and can independently lead complex technology initiatives through the full SDLC.

This position requires being on-site in Boston Seaport 1–2 days per week, with the remainder of the work performed remotely.

What You'll Do

Technology Project & Solution Delivery

• Lead technology projects across the full SDLC, including intake, discovery, requirements, design, build/configuration, testing, deployment, stabilization, and closeout.
• Understand the required SDLC stage gates, deliverables, and documentation needed to progress a technology solution through each phase.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, actions, and deliverables.
• Partner with business stakeholders, architects, security, technical teams, vendors, and SMEs on solution design and delivery.
• Coordinate cutover, go-live, transition to support, and lessons learned.

Business & Systems Analysis

• Lead and document business, functional, and system requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability, and other required project artifacts.
• Ensure requirements are complete, approved, and appropriately carried through solution design, build, testing, and implementation.
• Translate business and technology requirements into clear, actionable project deliverables.

Agile, Jira & Delivery Management

• Manage Jira project cards, epics, stories, backlogs, and sprints.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery tracking.
• Manage delivery across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, actions, and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Governance & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare weekly status reporting and facilitate Steering Committee meetings.
• Communicate project progress, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Partner with business and technical leadership throughout solution delivery.
• Ensure projects progress through required SDLC stage gates with the appropriate documentation and approvals.

Vendor & Solution Management

• Lead RFI/RFP processes, vendor evaluation, selection, and vendor management.
• Partner with external vendors throughout solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure successful delivery.

Testing, Implementation & Change Management

• Lead system, integration, and UAT testing, including test planning, defect management, and resolution.
• Ensure requirements are appropriately validated throughout testing.
• Partner with business and Organizational Change Management (OCM) teams on communications, training, adoption, and business readiness.
• Coordinate cutover, go-live, stabilization, transition to support, and lessons learned.

Required Experience

• 12–15+ years of technology project management, IT solution delivery, business systems analysis, and/or program management experience.
• Strong technical/technology delivery background — this is not a general business project management role.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex technology implementations across the full SDLC.
• Deep understanding of SDLC lifecycle management, phase gates, requirements documentation, testing, validation, implementation, and transition to support.
• PMP certification required.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) required.
• Strong experience delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environment, including GxP.
• Experience supporting Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Data Privacy, and/or GRC technology portfolios.
• Strong experience with Jira, vendor management, testing, governance, and executive stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate can independently drive complex technology initiatives while working effectively across business stakeholders, architects, security teams, technical resources, vendors, and SMEs.

This opportunity is best suited for a Senior Solution Delivery Lead / Technology Project Manager who can move comfortably between technology project leadership, business systems analysis, SDLC governance, Agile delivery, vendor management, testing, implementation, and executive stakeholder management.
