As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of passionate and skilled engineers and consultants to provide expertise in designing and implementing solutions that meet client business needs while leveraging the latest technology offerings. You will work with technical and business decision-makers while aligning solutions to the latest Apex Digital and Microsoft offerings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform implementation/migration/administration tasks related to Apex's solution offerings leveraging skills and qualifications listed below.
Evaluate client security posture and recommend/deploy new tools, policies, or settings.
Perform assessments and conduct discovery sessions to develop/design client project scope-of-works, estimates, and proposals.
Attend Pre-Sales meetings with a Sales Team. Create an estimate and statement of work based on the conversations.
Attain and stay current with concepts, skills, and certifications related to the skills and qualifications listed below.
Manage time effectively to meet billable utilization goals.
Assist Apex Digital team members in presenting recommended solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Create and maintain technical documentation for internal use and external presentations (e.g., As-built documentation, solution architecture, etc.)
Handle escalated support and administration needs for the Apex Managed Services delivery team.
Provide ongoing mentoring, guidance, and knowledge transfer for junior team members.
Skills and Qualifications
Microsoft 365/Office 365
Windows Server deployment and administration.
Server virtualization deployment and management – Hyper-V and VMWare.
Network and security hardware solution deployment and management experience (firewalls, routers, switches).
Backup and restore solution management
Identity management and SSO (Active Directory and Entra ID)
Microsoft Teams – collaboration, calling, meetings
Microsoft Teams Meeting Rooms – room and A/V design/implementation
Microsoft Teams Voice
Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (or other RMM or MDM experience)
Microsoft Azure Infrastructure (Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, storage, gateways, etc)
Intermediate/Advanced PowerShell experience
