This role is responsible for establishing and cultivating supplier relationships to drive global sourcing objectives and supplier initiatives to meet and exceed product quality and service, while delivering sustainable cost savings and mitigating risk in the supply chain. The incumbent is also expected to manage contract manufacturers (CM) and/or OEM Suppliers of Sourced Finished Medical Device (SFMD), while focusing on new product development (NPD) and sustaining projects for the External Operations team.\n\n \nYour responsibilities will include:\n\n * Working with Sourced Finished Medical Devices Manufacturers for Capital Equipment and/or Single Use Devices from Contract Manufacturers and/or OEM Suppliers\n * Utilizing strategic sourcing methodologies to lead category teams in refining and executing strategies that meet quality, service, and cost objectives\n * Promoting continuous value improvement for all aspects of quality, service, and cost with assigned supply base\n * Overseeing contract and vendor management activities, such as strategic reviews, site visits, service escalations and risk mitigation; maintain supplier performance review metrics and scorecards\n * Monitoring and reporting market dynamics and changes that affect internal client needs; identify category trends to drive continuous improvement with larger procurement team \n * Partnering with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, conduct buyer and market profiles, share marketplace trends and best practices, increase value proposition, and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO)\n * Collaborate with core teams to support projects for new product development, integrations, and transfers; align with strategic supply base to identify and mitigate risks, and deliver according to schedules and cost targets \n * Leading negotiation processes and work with stakeholders and legal teams to execute contracts\n * Managing the bidding process and annual operational budget to ensure inputs are correct; address proposed increases and prevent unfavorable purchase price variance (PPV)\n\n\n\n \n\nRequired qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in any discipline\n * Minimum 5yrs experience with Strategic Procurement (Sourcing) and Supplier Relationship Management \n * Proficient in cost modeling and data analysis or similar quantitative skill\n * Experience managing optimal supplier contracts and negotiating value improvements\n * Experience with MS Office Excel and other applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.) \n * Ability to travel up to 20%\n\n\n\n \n\nPreferred qualifications\n\n * Master\u2019s Degree or professional certification (i.e. CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) \n * Experience working in medical device or similar regulated industry\n * Experience working with Finished Medical Devices- Contract Manufacturers and/or OEM Suppliers\n * Strong negotiation and decision-making skills, ability to influence internal and external teams\n * Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams\n * Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels\n * Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-oriented\n * Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively\n\n\n\n \n\nRequisition ID: 624810\n\nMinimum Salary: $71500\n\nMaximum Salary: $135800\n\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\u2014will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
