Job Description - Senior Specialist - Capital Markets Sales & Support
The Capital Markets Sales & Support Senior Specialist (the “Specialist”) provides comprehensive operational and client support for specialty groups or products within the Group. The Specialist manages more complex client service needs, contributes to product and process enhancements, and serves as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders.
This role is expected to act independently in most functions, proactively identifying issues, driving solutions, and mentoring more junior teammates. The Specialist supports Division initiatives and plays a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of capital markets services while strengthening client satisfaction. Work is varied, with shifting priorities and limited supervision, requiring initiative, judgment, and accountability.
Position Accountabilities
Lead by example, supporting and enhancing a strong, collaborative Group culture.
Manage client requests and inquiries with professionalism, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues, while communicating best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Proactively identify and escalate potential compliance or risk concerns.
Develop and maintain reporting processes for the Group.
Participate in Division-wide projects and initiatives, contributing to the creation of common standards and practices.
Update and maintain product white papers, FAQs, and client-facing materials.
Oversee the communication, development, and documentation of policies and procedures.
Partner with Finance and Operations to support specific products, initiatives, or process improvements.
Mentor and coach junior associates to support their professional growth and development.
Contribute to merger and acquisition activities, including due diligence and integration for relevant products or specialties.
Organizational Relationship
This position reports to a Sales and Support leader within the Capital Markets Group.
Position Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related degree, preferred
7+ years’ experience in consumer, commercial, or middle market/corporate banking
3+ years’ experience in specialty lending, capital markets, or related space
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting, economics, and finance principles.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with proven client engagement success.
Ability to prioritize multiple, complex tasks under limited supervision and changing deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
