Summary:
As a Learning & Talent Development Sr. Specialist, you will play a vital role in advancing our learning and talent development initiatives across all functions in our Americas region. You will use your L&TD subject matter expertise as you work closely with HR and business leadership and cross-functional teams to design, implement, and evaluate programs and strategies that enhance employee engagement, leadership development, and overall organizational effectiveness. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Learning & Talent Development – Americas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learning:
- Manage Americas Leadership Development Programs autonomously with minimal manager oversight including annual budgeting, selection and recruitment of participants, communications, planning, vendor management, and analyzing and reporting outcomes / program effectiveness
- Indirectly manage and coach less experienced HR team members with the potential to formally manage within 1-2 years
- Conduct learning needs assessments, assess WSA’s existing learning tools, platforms, and technologies, and deploy blended (70-20-10) solutions to address gaps
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to learning and development activities
- Collect and analyze relevant data to assess the impact of learning and talent development initiatives
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in learning and talent development to ensure programs remain current and relevant
Talent Development:
- Prepare and conduct annual Americas Talent Reviews and Succession Plans with the Leadership Team, as needed
- Build strategic partnership with the Global Talent Development Team to deliver on the Global Talent Strategy
- Drive WSA Global Talent Programs (e.g., Hogan 360, Insights Discovery, Psychological Safety, etc.) adoption in the Americas including vendor management, facilitation, coaching, and train-the-trainer
- Oversee the Insights Discovery strategy and rollout across the Americas, aligning local and global strategies, acting as the primary point of contact for all Americas’ practitioners and the Global L&TD Team
- Partner with Head of Communications – Americas on a communication plan for Learning & Talent Development initiatives and strategy
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years of proven experience in learning and/or talent development, preferably in a global organization.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, Change Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Certification in relevant HR, learning, or talent development is a plus
- Technical Experience: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, SharePoint, Teams (MS Power Platform a bonus), Human Capital Management and Learning Experience Platforms, and LinkedIn Learning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable speaking in front of a C-Suite level audience
- Proficiency in HR metrics, creating dashboards, and telling a story through data analytics
- Ability to work in a matrixed, global environment, communicating across international cultural contexts
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging and effective learning experiences for diverse audiences
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform decision-making
- Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion best practices
