What You'll Do as a Senior Staff Accountant
Take ownership of general ledger activity, reconciliations, and account accuracy across multiple entities.
Lead the month-end close process by preparing and reviewing workpapers and ensuring deadlines are met.
Partner with the Controller to prepare financial statements and provide meaningful financial insight to leadership.
Review the work of Staff Accountants, answer questions, and help develop a strong accounting team.
Support project accounting activities, including project setup, cost coding, and financial tracking within the accounting system.
Serve as a go-to resource for accounting questions related to invoices, cash receipts, journal entries, budgets, and financial reporting.
Assist with year-end close activities and other projects that support the company's financial health and continued growth.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and make financial information more accessible across the organization.
Our Ideal Senior Staff Accountant
Accounting Experience: 5+ years of financial management and accounting experience, preferably within construction, project accounting, cost accounting, or similar environments. CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and general ledger management. Tax preparation experience is a plus.
Software Proficiency: Experience using financial management systems such as Sage Intacct, Oracle, or similar accounting platforms.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Organization & Accuracy: Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Integrity: Trusted to handle confidential financial information with professionalism, accountability, and discretion.

$85,000-$95,000 annual salary, based on experience
