NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Phoenix consulting team.

As an Senior Accountant consultant, you’ll supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Senior Accountant responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. The day-to-day responsibilities of our Senior Accountant will vary significantly depending upon a company’s size and needs.

To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with risk management. Ultimately, you’ll make sure we comply with accounting regulations, maximize profits and mitigate risks.

Both Full-time and Part-time opportunities available.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors

Qualifications:

• Accounting or Finance degree (BS/BA/MBA)
• Previous experience in accounting management or other related fields
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Client service and results focused
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
