Senior Staff Accountant - Tax (Remote)

Remote Position. Offices have an immediate opening for part-time and/or full-time Senior Staff Accountant, Tax.

• Compliance
  review of tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and
  partnerships, and the related foreign reporting requirements
  
• Participate in tax planning engagements and the preparation of technical tax memos
  
• Prepare
  instruction letters for the execution of corporate reorganizations,
  estate & post-mortem tax planning, business succession planning, and
  the purchase & sale of a business
  
• Conducting tax research and interpreting tax legislation and proposed legislative changes
  
• Providing
  technical expertise as an internal resource to staff who need tax
  support on their client files or on specific questions from their
  clients
  
• Preparing
  client correspondence, including; reports & analysis, discussion of
  technical issues and recommendations, and attending client meetings
  where appropriate
  
• Providing assistance to other offices of the Firm, as required, and collaborating with other service lines across the firm
  

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• Graduate of a University Accounting Program, or equivalent
  
• Pursuing a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
  
• 2 years of experience in a public accounting firm
  
• Willingness to enroll, or enrolled, in the CICA In-Depth Tax Course
  
• 2-3 years of work experience with Canadian Income Taxation
