Senior / Staff Product Engineer

Location - New York, NY / San Francisco, CA - (On-site, 5 Days Per Week)

Compensation - $200,000 – $300,000 Base + Competitive Equity - (Up to $325,000 for Exceptional Candidates)

As a Senior / Staff Product Engineer, you'll own customer-facing product experiences end-to-end while helping define how AI agents transform infrastructure management. You'll work directly with customers, founders, and engineers to build features that deliver immediate value while shaping the future of AI-native developer tools.

What You'll Do

• Own and ship customer-facing features end-to-end across the full technology stack


• Design and build AI-powered product experiences using modern agentic workflows


• Develop backend services using TypeScript, NestJS, and PostgreSQL


• Build polished frontend experiences using React and TypeScript


• Partner directly with customers to understand pain points and translate feedback into product improvements


• Independently identify opportunities to improve product usability, reliability, and customer experience


• Design scalable backend architectures supporting AI-powered infrastructure automation


• Collaborate closely with Design to build intuitive user experiences with exceptional frontend quality


• Build AI-native workflows that investigate, resolve, and prevent production issues


• Work closely with founders to influence product roadmap and long-term product direction


• Continuously improve engineering quality, product performance, and development velocity


• Help shape the product culture through rapid iteration, customer obsession, and exceptional execution

Ideal Candidate Background

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience


• Experience building customer-facing SaaS products from concept through production


• Experience working at early-stage VC-backed startups


• Experience owning products end-to-end with significant engineering autonomy


• Demonstrated success shipping impactful product features rapidly


• Experience collaborating directly with customers to influence product direction


• Strong startup ownership mentality with exceptional execution


• Experience working on small, high-performing engineering teams


• Strong product intuition with customer-first thinking


• Former founding engineer or startup experience preferred

Technical Requirements

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript


• Deep experience building production applications using React


• Strong backend engineering experience with NestJS or similar backend frameworks


• Experience designing scalable PostgreSQL data models


• Experience building full-stack production software end-to-end


• Strong frontend engineering with attention to usability and interaction design


• Experience building modern APIs and backend services


• Strong software engineering fundamentals across scalability, maintainability, and performance


• Experience building AI-powered products or AI-native developer tooling preferred


• Experience working across both frontend and backend systems without specialization in only one area

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline preferred


• Strong software engineering background with demonstrated technical excellence
