Job Description - Senior Staff SEIT Lead - AMC Restricted

The Sr. Staff Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Lead is responsible for leading a cross-discipline engineering team typically greater than 50 people on a high visibility project and interface with Engineering & Program Management, Software and Hardware Engineers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance. The selected candidates will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidates are expected to be self-motivated, highly-organized, and detail-oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills. This Lead role requires the ability to lead SE (systems engineering, I&T (integration & test), and MS&A (modeling, simulation, and analysis) development efforts across multiple delivered products, and the role also has the opportunity to include software (tactical and test) development oversight. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate organizational (i.e. staffing) and technical problem-solving skills to ensure successful execution of SEIT scope, with the ability to support external and internal executive leadership briefs, as needed. Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases. Products include but are not limited to operational/tactical capabilities, models and simulations, tool, and technical artifacts/reports. Plan, execute, and close out system reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, systems engineering peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, Physical Configuration Audits, Functional Configuration Audits), coordinating with Engineering Review Authority (ERA). Manage program Verification & Validation efforts. Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts. Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts. Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership. Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing. Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements. Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned. Primary Level Salary Range: $184,100.00 - $276,100.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience, master's degree with 12 years of experience or Ph.D. with 10 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. U.S Citizenship is required. A current / active DoD Secret Clearance. Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). Experience leading technical teams Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills Experience with the technical development and direction for many aspects of engineering on a program, including design, development, implementation, testing, and delivery of product to a customer. Experience with developing and executing project schedules. Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields. Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher, SAP access(es), and/or SCI access. Exceptional communication skills. An interest in and an aptitude for customer engagements at technical and programmatic levels. Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projects. Domain expertise in defense sensor systems. Experience with the technical development and direction for all aspects of engineering on a program, including design, development, implementation, testing, and delivery of product to a customer. Experience coordinating with external subcontractors, primes, and/or suppliers.
