Position Summary

The Senior Storage Consultant plays a critical role in driving sales, delivering exceptional service, and leading by example. This position requires a knowledgeable, customer-focused professional who can guide clients in selecting the right storage solutions while supporting the store team in achieving performance goals. You will be a trusted advisor to our customers and a mentor to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a lead point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance on storage solutions and protection products.

Assist customers in renting storage units, purchasing packing supplies, and understanding facility features.

Identify customer needs and recommend tailored solutions to maximize satisfaction and drive sales.

Mentor and support junior consultants and team members in achieving performance standards.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, rental agreements, and payment processing.

Contribute to achieving or exceeding store sales goals and key performance metrics.

Perform regular facility walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness, security, and operational readiness.

Assist with daily operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.

Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement strategies that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

3+ years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or self-storage industry.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support team members.

Proven track record in consultative sales and customer relationship building.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.

Ability to work weekends or flexible shifts as required.

Physically able to walk the facility, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs.
