What to expect in this role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Stratus Software Engineer with a strong background in VOS and C programming to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications on the Stratus platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software solutions.
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications on the Stratus VOS platform.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Guides early-career engineers by providing learning tasks as well as work related tasks, directs the work of emerging talent, and helps them continue to grow in their technical skills through mentorship.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in C.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and bugs.

Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Work directly with partners and customers to assist with design and evaluation to maximize performance and scalability

Ensure software solutions meet performance, security, and quality standards.

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements and technical skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on Stratus VOS and C programming.

Strong understanding of VOS operating systems and Stratus hardware.

Proficiency in C programming language and experience with other programming languages is a plus.

Solid knowledge of software development best practices, including design patterns, coding standards, and testing methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with other programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.

Knowledge of networking, databases, and distributed systems.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role.
