Job Description - Senior Structural Design Engineer

Job Description
Senior Structural Design Engineer to help lead their structural design team. This role offers a unique blend of responsibility and flexibility, focusing on both structural design work and management. Beyond technical expertise, the Lead Engineer will play a crucial role in project development.

Responsibilities

Serves as the division head to clients, consultants, contractors, and associated project representatives
Guarantees seamless project delivery under strict deadlines
Manages and delivers all milestones through a project life cycle
Prepares and executes document specifications for all project types
Guides and encourages the development of junior level team members as the organization continues to expand

Requirements

Must be a Florida licensed professional engineer
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, master’s degree preferred
10+ years in structural design, drafting, and detailing for a wide range of project types
Expertise working onsite and conforming to drawings, specifications, and plans
Strong familiarity with local code requirements and associated governing agencies
Superior written and verbal communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
Excellent planning, organization, and detail orientation skills
Experience working with contractors, time frame management, and industry applied methods Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, Bently, and RISA3D, or similar FEA software
