Senior Structural Engineer

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about bridge design? We’re looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing design team at VIAS Infrastructure. As we continue to expand, we’re seeking someone to play a pivotal role in building our structural practice, mentoring staff, and driving strategic growth in our transportation infrastructure group. This is a high-impact role  working closely with the firm's ownership to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead structural designs for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation structures for DOT and municipal clients
• Provide technical oversight and quality control across all phases of structural projects
• Assist in hiring and growing the structural engineering team, including  mentoring and training junior staff; help develop internal standards, tools, and workflows
• Collaborate directly with owners and senior leadership to shape the future of the structural department
• Support business development through proposal writing, client outreach, and industry networking
• Engage in project pursuits and interviews as a technical lead

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• PE license required (SE preferred or willingness to obtain)
• 10+ years of experience with structural design of transportation infrastructure projects
• Proven track record of successful delivery for DOT and public sector clients
• Strong understanding of AASHTO, LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, and DOT standards
• Leadership and mentoring experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
