This is a hybrid remote position

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Structural Engineer to join our growing team in the Solar PV industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of structural analysis and design experience for commercial and industrial projects, with experience leading a project or two. We would still consider candidates with strong C&I experience interested in growing into a PM.

Responsibilities:

Design, analyze, and detail structures, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, UL).
Utilize AutoCAD to prepare structural drawings and designs.
Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry structures, and some timber using building codes for large-scale commercial buildings.
Use Excel and other software tools for engineering calculations and data analysis.
Design and optimize commercial-scale Solar PV structures, ensuring their structural integrity and efficiency.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master’s degree is a plus.
6+ years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within Solar PV industry
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and other relevant software.
Knowledge of building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, UL).
Experience with Solar PV structures is highly desirable.
Experience designing cold formed and hot rolled steel, concrete, and/or wood structures
EIT or PE is a plus
Some travel may be required for site visits nationally
