Senior Structural Engineer Bridge & Horizontal Structures

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 10+ years of bridge and horizontal structural experience to drive business development, manage project teams, and ensure financial and technical success for our Lexington office. This hands-on leadership role combines engineering expertise, project management, and team mentorship to deliver high-quality civil engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage bridge and horizontal structural engineering projects from design through construction.
• Drive business development and establish market presence with county and state clients.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing needs.
• Hire, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for engineering staff.
• Contribute to proposal development and technical solutions.
• Serve as a technical expert and resource for project managers and engineers.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience, specifically in bridge/horizontal structures.
• Proven project management and business development experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with local/state government clients.
• Supervisory experience managing engineering teams.

Work Environment:

• Full-time onsite role in Lexington, KY.
• Office environment with occasional site visits; standard office lighting, temperature, and conditions.
