Position Overview:

Join our client's dynamic engineering team as a Senior Substation Project Engineer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead substation projects from inception through to completion, contributing to cutting-edge renewable energy infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead substation projects throughout all stages, from conception to commissioning.
• Coordinate closely with Early-Stage Project Managers to define engineering requirements.
• Provide technical oversight to external Engineers of Record (EOR).
• Manage procurement and contracts for engineering services.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on-site development and permitting processes.
• Supervise major material orders and project budgets.
• Support commissioning activities and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in High Voltage substation design and engineering.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Experience with utility-scale power infrastructure projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NESC, and ASCE standards.
